    Socket to remove seats?

I want to get a set of racing seats and harnesses for my truck, but I don't know the exact size of the socket or where to get it to remove the seats. It's the external torx socket, I believe the E16 fits the nuts that hold down the console and inside of the seats, but the outside nuts are bigger...is it an E18?

Its one size bigger than the E18 I believe, but you can also use a metric size(non 6point) on the seats. I bought a set of the external sockets to remove my seats, but they werent big enough on one side so I used a metric size

Mine was the E16, they should be the same for every truck. At least thats what the dealer told me.

I am wanting to remove my middle seat too. Does anyone have a picture of that it looks like removed? Didn't know if brackets would be sticking out like a sore thumb.

number 11 for the back 2 bolts number 15 for the fronts, youll need a deep 15 for the fronts 12 points preferebly ive only done this a few hundred times

and to answer medics Q? you have to take out both seats then the console will just come out brackets and all then jsut put the seats back in there is no left over brackets, im the master at stripping interiors hahahah

    Yep ^^^

There's a special socket from GM for those inverted Torx but I simply use a 15mm deep 12-point 'cause I'm too lazy to walk 50' and get the proper tool.

But it's a lot easier to remove the seats to get the console out ..especially if you want the console brackets out (they're under the seat frame).
