    96-98 Swap.

    Can someone who has put a 5.3 into an 96-98 truck shoot me a PM I have some issues. Thanks Aaron

    I want some information on wiring. I don't quite understand the deal with what gets left in and what gets taken out. I have heard several different things from different people and am just trying to figure this all out before I tear into my truck...

    Well, what have you heard? What year engine are you putting in? Drive-by-wire, keeping EGR and EVAP, electric fans, matched transmission, keeping ABS? What are you wanting to do, then the wiring will come.

    Thanks but I have talked with someone and figured most of this out. I only have one question though what is EVAP? I know of EGR but am not familiar with EVAP.

    Ahhhh that explains the third line coming from the gas tank, what's involved in removing that system? How do you plug the hole in the top of the intake mainly..

    Also while we are on the topic whats the trick to plugging the hole in the TB where the EGR ties into it?

    have no idea, i googled EVAP and that's what came up.
