Stripped screw or bolt removal (helpful tip)

While changing a solenoid in my transmission a torx style bolt stripped out.

To avoid having to drill and tap it out, i cut a slot across the head with my dremel cutting wheel and was able to remove it with a large flat screwdriver.

while this may not work for every situation it is much easier then drilling it out, especially when in tight quarters.

I did this on a bed bolt, and it worked well.
