installing a cold air intake on my truck.

while scanning i was seeing intake temps up to 160F so with the heat of summer coming i know i got to do something.

so ive started the project today, what i have planned is to suck air in from behind the drivers side headlight. so far ive removed the second battery, (ill relocate it later on somehow somewhere).

i still had the stock storage box that went in that spot so i am gonna use that to house the filter and run a short piece of that aluminum foil type dryer vent with the wire inside from the hole behind the headlight to the box. ill take some pics of what im doing tommorrow as i continue the work.

is there any reason why i shouldnt use that dryer vent stuff for a 2 inch long area?

Yeah, good idea. Any time you can lower your IATs on a blower, you are doing yourself some good. Post up pics when you get done.
