    Maybe Traction Issues??

Well I'm changing my setup around a little this year. Little bigger cam and a performabilt trans with one of their converters. Originally was going to go with a 3500 stall but after reading about them being a little tighter than other converters, I may go as high as a 4000. I'm also wanting to spray atleast my 100shot off the line.
My question is, what's it going to take for me to hook? I've got some 275/60-15 MT ET Street radials. Will they be sufficient? Taller tires? Different tires? Do i need to seriously consider some cal-tracs? Let's hear it

I know that you are talking about a full size....but my Blazer has Comp. Eng. Slide-A-Links, Bell Tech 3" dearced springs and 275/60-15 M/T drag radials.

Here's a vid. of it launching on a 150 shot.

I have a little S10 & I've got 315/35-17s in the back w/ lakewood traction bars. My rear is a Zexel Torsen posi from an LS1 camaro.. I'm sure since your truck weighs more you should be fine but w/ all that extra power comming I'd suggest some traction bars to help out.. after all it's a pick up & there's still not a huge amount of weight back there, right? heh
