Sweet ass man! F-in' Toyotas... I bet that he doesn't know that you did your mods and thinks that you just had a few bad first-time runs against him! He'll now know not to mess with GM trucks. :flipoff: That is cool as Hell that you pulled on that guy! Awesome kills! Now I wanna find a new Tundra...

Cool! But heres what Im thinking... why do we have to spend $$ on mods just to keep up with them...are they making more pwr stk than we are... or are the lighter...maybe they come from the factory with a more agressive tune? are we comparing apples to apples

Well, Toyota has a motor that was developed just now, 5.7L in displacement, excellent computer management--including a ULEV designation, 381 hp/401 tq, 6 speed tranny, available 4.30's, etc. Compare that to ours...motor developed almost 10 years ago, (originally with the 5.3L--285 hp, 325 tq), ok computer management, no ULEV or LEV, Jurassic period 4L60e, 3.73's, etc. We HAVE to do this stuff to stay in the same performance parameters...

If GM strapped their new LS2 5.7 (from the Vette--400 hp!&#33 and the new 6L80e Hydramatic (????) tranny into the NBS 1500 truck with 4.10's, we'd be right up there with Toyota---or even be beating them...

No. It has 4... It's a DOHC, 48 valves. It's the Ford 5.4L Triton has a SOHC, 3 valves per cylinder...

You can tell he's an engineer, he's managed to figure out how to put 6 valves per cylinder in the DOHC engine while everyone only gets 4 per cylinder.
