    Nice idea! Got me to thinking about doing this.... I rarely listen to the FM stations around here.. .mostly CDs.... Thanks!!

    You can still get all your FM stations. I had no reception issues at all.

    thanks for sharing the idea. i did it last night. took me a little longer though. realized i was out of zip ties after i took everything apart and had to run down to my shop. great info 6.

    this is a great idea. I have been wanting to shave the antenna on mine as well. I will go out and do this mod later today. I have sirius and hardly ever listen to reg radio so no big deal if i loose reception.

    I've been searching for one of these parts to do this mod myself to my truck. It's become very hard to find, does anyone have any extra's they'd be willing to sell?
