Well I ran an STS 'Lac a few days ago and just walked the two guys in the car. It was quite funny as my truck is pretty much stock! Hahaha. I do beat down lots of Mopar Powered rides like: 5.9 R/Ts, Rams, Cummins, and the like!

I have ran some in my F-150 and some in my Z71 and others in my WRX! Dodge's don't get along with me.

I am not a fullblooded GM or a total Ford guy. I have both of my bases covered. One thing for sure, I love laying waste to Mopar. I did run a 5.9 R/T ext cab in the WRX once, his superior torque pulled me by about a car length then as soon as the turbo came alive...I zipped right on by!

    Good kill,

Dodges are funny as hell to race, they have tons of pulling power (at least it seems that say), but they are slow as sht.

My experience is, they keep on trying like 3-4 times before they realize they can't beat me, lol

LOL, my last car was an E36 M3.. I had this guy in a Dakota 4.7 try to run me like 3-4 times on the highway... Every time I'd just absolutely leave him behind (as I should've), but he just kept coming up trying to make the pass.. He never made the pass, and by the 4th try he just gave up...

Shouldn't you have ripped him out off the hole with your all wheel drive?

But I hear you about beating that 'lac with your truck. The suprise factor other people feel when losing to a truck is hilarious. Last time I went to the track in Orlando, there was this guy with an Eldorado sts with a northstar engine, pretty much stock except for a homemeade 100 shot direct port nitrous system. He was running 14.2-14.4 @ 102

Well, if my car was a 5 speed I would have dickslapped him hard-core BUT since I have an Auto I am a bit slow from the dead stop.

I have decided that my first mod on that car will be a Stall Converter (4100rpm brake stall, flashes to 2600) and UTEC (user tunable engine computer). The computer adds ~35rwhp alone!

all wheel drive and a good converter-sounds like its going to run very well Just dont tax that turbo out too much, cuz from what I hear they make max efficiency around 14.5 psi. I read a thread linked from a suby website where this kid ran a boost controller and turned his boost to like 16 psi and ended up blowing his motor. then he tried to turn around and get it fixed under waranty by removing all aftermarket parts saying it blew up with stock components. some guy on that same message board ratted him out and the dealership denied him warranty coverage--was pretty funny. BTW, what's the car run in the qtr?

I read that over on DFWstangs.net a while ago.

The stock turbo is super tiny, and maxes on boost around 16psi. I have looked into getting the stocker fully ported and balanced for ~$500.

Manual boost controllers are dangerous. I would not ever touch those. That is why with that UTEC I mentioned, is very safe to use.

If you stick to good staged upgrades, you will be safe.
