Sorry, but me taking a sledge hammer and pounding the crap out of a Rolex doesn't make me a Swiss watch maker.

It will bolt in. As for the harness, you'll need to swap over your original intake and accessories from the old engine onto the new engine. You'll need to swap out the harmonic balancer, also. Yes, water pump needs to come over from the truck engine, too. Basically, you'll be swapping out the long block and keeping your intake and accessories.

4.8, 5.3 and 6.0 engines will interchange with the exception of the 1999-2001 6.0L which had a thicker flange on the crankshaft. Buy a 2002 or newer 6.0L and everything will swap from your 4.8L. Be prepared to get your transmission beefed up. Also, budget some money for a tune since your 4.8L tune will work but it will run very lean. Nelson Performance can set you up with a tune for the 5.3 or 6.0 engine. Use your stock 4.8L harness unless the 5.3 or 6.0 engine comes with a 4L60E harness.

Red, you guys just did everything wrong when you swapped that 4.3L out for the 6.0L.

Reds right my 2000 6.oL has a thick flange on the rear of the crank. GM had a brain fart when they did this. It will all fit as Red has mentioned.
Good Luck!
