My stock tranny cooler is located across the front exactly the same as the first post ion the thread by kirkrhughes.
I looked on my dad's GMC and that was where his was too, so that's where I put mine. I doubled the bracket since they sent me 4 and put rubber gaskets between the cooler and the mounting points as a little vibration protection. I also went out and got 3 extra feet of hose before I started so I didn't have to worry about routing.
