youre leaking down somewhere and fast, either your fuel pressure regulator isnt working or you have other issues like dumping the gas back to tank through the by pass on the fuel rail, have ya done anything to the pump inside the tank? like change the pump to a walbro or something? if so this could be your problem also.

I think G403 is pump ground either over the spare or near the rear on top of the frame rail.

The hard start and run problems that go away for a while don't seem foreign for a cam swap without a tune as it should be very rich at idle and lean everywhere else. Plugs are likely fouled and dry out after sitting for a while.

Get the basics covered before getting both feet wet, this will help keep you from piling one problem over another. Get tuned now.

It ran "perfectly" after the cam swap because the PCM didn't have the chance to make improper decisions on fuel delivery. It has now learned some stuff and lope causes a non-tuned PCM to add fuel at idle....fouling plugs in many cases. Sure, many people here will say they drive a cam like that untuned but each vehicle is different....ask anyone that live or street tunes and they will tell you they have learned a baseline that needs adjusted for every truck.

Do the start and stall thing and immediately pull a plug and I'd bet it's wet and black.

very true statement foresure, but if he doesnt start the motor and just turn the key on, shouldnt he have fuel pressure at 55-60 psi? reguardless of tune? i personally would think so.

sounds like a tuned pcm might be the way to go, Nelson could ship one out to you quick, personally, i'm running hardly any internal mods, and i plan on getting a tuned pcm ordered and shipped prior to me swap over to the 6.0l. that way it will run with no problems when i first start it. after that it just a matter of taking it in for a dyno tune or live tune to tweak it a little.

just because you can hear the pump does not mean that it is good. You have to get a fuel pressure gauge on there to see what kind of pressure you have.

    Update

Alright guys here to clarify everything up, yes i do have a tune from nelson im just waiting for him to do it and send it back to me i sent him a log of the cam on friday.

Secondly i have absoloutly no fuel pressure when the key is in the "on" position when i check it with a knife is just drips out maybe 2 or 3 drops i KNOW that is not 58psi.(yes i do have a fuel pressure guage i just know it not at 58psi)

I have check the relay i swaped out my fuel pump relay with my washer fluid pump relay and it still worked so i know its not the relay.

What are the chances that my fuel pump decided to take a dump, work again, and then take another dump?

Thanks for all your help guys well get this figured out

Problem Solved! But new Problems yay!....

Well i got a pressure gauge to it and it read zero, but i went through and sanded the metal were every ground was so it was a full connection and that fixed it! dont know which one it was but it did it

Now that i have fuel pressure its doing excatly as gas guzzler was saying, it will only start up unless its a dry start and its not flooded.

And one more problem, would anyone know what could cause this? everytime i accelerate from a dead stop and only a dead stop my radio will turn off and then turn back on?? It plays fine and i checked my alternator its charging any suggestion will be great.

Thanks for all your help in helping me figure this out guys it means alot
