    Pl4yboy's 110g Saltwater aquarium

I'm going to pick up my 110 tank tonight to start my first saltwater aquarium. I've done a few freshwaters, but I'm going to try my hand at some corals and stuff this go round. I'll be posting pictures of everything here to keep it documented. If anyone has a tank and would like to donate some coral frags or fish after I get it cycled, let me know!

Here it is. It's definitely a little rough and the stand needs some doors made and some touchups here and there. The tank itself is in great shape with no scratches. It just needs a good scrubbing. We had to go to the northwest side of Tulsa to get it, but I got about 2k worth of stuff for 425$.

    Nice Fluval heater

    Sock filter

    Digital Thermometer

    Sump return pump

Two powerheads. From the reviews I've read, one is awesome and one is complete garbage. Either way, 75$ worth of pieces to the puzzle.

And the mother load... the custom sump setup. This thing retails for over 700$ new.

I know a guy that built them giant aquariums. He showed me around his place once. Pretty neat and expensive setup he had.

I got into saltwater about two years ago, definetely an addicting hobby. I went from a 30 gallon to a 38 to a 75 to my current 125 reef. What lighting are you going to run?

Since this is an extreme budget system, I'm looking at two 48" Odyssea T5 HO right now. I've seen some pretty bad reviews on them, but if they last me 6 months I'll be happy. Just long enough to get past the initial setup and get things rolling along. At that point I'd really like to upgrade to some nice LED fixtures or build my own.

Looks like you have a catfish already. I've always wanted to have a big freshwater aquarium with red breast in it.
