I traded a stock tranny to a guy for this one-it was supposedly "built to the max" and I personally drove the truck it came from. Actually, this was the truck I got my second Whipple off of too. It would rip your head off when it shifted!! It would bark 3rd which is something my '02 truck has NEVER done, even with the built tranny. But one thing I forgot was it had a Jet trans controller which was evidently jacking up the pressure a lot. We took all that off the other truck and put the stocker in it and it works just like a stock truck.
So I put this supposed "built" trans in my conversion truck and it won't even shift so I think I have some wiring issues. I double checked all that and I finally got it working after overfilling it by about 3 quarts (doh, what an idiot!
Anyways, it had the wrong filter-when I pulled the pan the filter was just laying there and the plug wasn't fully pushed on the pressure solenoid (that was the code I was getting) I put the right filter in and got the sol working but it must already have some burnt clutches. So I ordered a boatload of parts today including a new converter but all that is going in my 2002 truck and the trans that is currently in it is going in the '94. Bottom line is by Saturday afternoon the '94 will be back on the road!
