I wanted my motor low and back so i moved all the mounts. That also let the factory driveshaft work.

Where exactly did you mount your engine to be able to use the stock driveshaft? What adaptor plates did you use?

Thanks for all the information so far!

You can move the plates that the motor mounts bolt to at the frame. The plates that go from the crossmember to the frame rails. Just put them where you want them, or where the driveshaft wants them, and drill new holes. Then put the transmission crossmember where it works out. You will be moving the motor and trans back about 2". As far as my plates, I got them off ebay for about $50. They are the same as the S&P mounts except steel and cheaper. Do a search for LS1 adapter plates.

its a real easy swap! just made new frame mounts and used stock f body motor mounts. headers can also be used from a 1998-2004 camaro. little pocketing on the pass frame for clearance. i used a 4l60e and all i did was make my crossmember out of 2x4 box tubing and set it up. do a little trimming on the front core suport and you can use the stock camaro radiatior and fan assembly. stock upper hose works. had to two piece two lowers with a piece of tubing to make it fit. as far as wiring harness save the money and the headaches and get painless wirings new stand alone deal. alot less wires and their computer.

I remembered seing a set of those on eBay. I went ahead and ordered a set of those as well. I guess I should have asked the seller first, but why are there only 4 screws per side instead of 6 per side like the S&P versions? I know the flat head countersunk bolts are for one of the holes to go to the engine.

What other hardware did you guys use?
