What is it about the cam that I selected that you feel might be undesirable? Power come in too late or ?
The stock intake does not restrict near as much as the exhaust. People waist tons of money on these fancy intakes when a cheap one will do just as good, there is not much power to be had when mildly modded.
Simply put you will have much more usable power under the curve, right where you need it. The split pattern verses a single or reverse split will broaden the powerband, sometimes lowering peak power but not always. Also if used correctly taking into consideration all the factors (IE ratio, intake manifold, FI, nitrous, exhaust. etc) you will not loose your peak power but gain low end/top end with a broadened powerband.
For instance the Hemi's work well with a 6-8 degree split since the intake valves substantially outflow the exhaust.
The cam you have will work but leaves a lot on the table.
