I have seen dozens of people running eBay inter coolers without any issues. Just make sure you get one sufficient for your build. As for 88-98 obs trucks running a turbo. There are at least a dozen on this site. Some that I have seen mount them facing down and then build a small scoop type peice to direct the air up into the intercooler.

i have the downward facing kind kerrige is talking about for my procharger setup and i'm not really to pleased with it, my IATs shot to the moon when i got on it going down the interstate. when i get my setup running again i think i'm gonna figure up how to fab a front mounted ebay intercooler, that scoop just doesnt seem to work that well IMO.

ive seen plenty of ebay cooler on OBS trucks, some fab work will be needed to make it fit the way that you want it to but its not that big of a job that you cant handle. cut grind weld

what size do you guys normally go with? i've seen some that are 31" long and that seems a little to big due to the grill tapering back to the headlights from the center and would seem to hit it.

i was looking on mine and i have the AC condensor removed but i still have the stock trans cooler in there. its hard to judge what size would fit really imo

I used one off a power joke in mine. Had to reconfigure the core support, but nothing big
