It's a 1990 chevy truck with a 5.3 (cable throttle body pcm).I've heard of that set-up, would that work in my 1990 to keep the stock guage operable? I've got the original 5.3 temp sensor in the drivers side head with a stand alone Nelson Perf harness. I would think that all I would have to do is splice the 3 wire sensor to 2 of the wires going to the pcm and run the third wire to the guage. Am I on the right track? (not so good with wiring as you can see). Thanks and Merry Christmas to you and yours.

I went with the elec.guage, braized a brass fitting onto the speedway motors fitting and put it in the pass side head. Had to drill out the fittings a bit to get the sending unit some room for water circulation.Done deal.
