    fuel pump swap

The fuel pump in my dad's 01 Silvy is bad and needs to be changed. Is it easier to drop the tank or remove the bed to change it? How hard is it to remove the bed?

i would remove the bed. 8-18mm bolts, unplugg the taillight harness, and 3-7mm (fuel filler). unless u have a lift.

It was recommended to loosen the pass side bolts do not remove them. Then remove the drivers bed bolts and jack it up from the frame rails. When I get home I will post link up from pt.net where they posted pics on how to do it.

Two guys can lift the bed off rather easily. I don't like jacking up one side.

We don't have a lift, so it looks like we will be lifting the bed off of it. Thanks for the advice, guys. N/ALS1, that link would be a big help if you can find it.

Or, pull the rear wheels off, unbolt the bed and just slide it back.
