    You guys are a hoot.
The wheels are boss wheels. I always thought they were the 330 but someone told me the 330s are only the six lug six bar wheels and that these are the 335. So go figure.
    Thanks for the compliments

I haven't been able to get much momentum going on the truck due to work and two other small
projects that will hopefully generate some cash flow for parts.
I pulled the intake and heads to inspect everything.
The heads were very clean and the block is solid... The pistons cleaned right up with a rag and a shot of wd.

I'm going to have minimal hood clearance as is with the bodydrop so I won't be running an engine cover.
So since the intake was off I decided to shave and paint it.
I stripped everything off of it.

Cut and ground down all non-essential tabs, ribs, and threaded bolt risers.

    Body worked a bit.

    A few coats of primer

    And blocked down primer.

I then sealed it sprayed some color and finally some clear.

I did the fuel rails and the tb while I was at it.

I also cleaned up the valve covers.
Got all the nasty grime off

    And sanded

    And sanded some more

    Then polished them out.

They look nice but in going to try to get some more shine out of them.

I mocked everything back up on the block to make sure I got the look I was going for.
I cleaned up and polished the fuel line and crossover tubes as well as all the lil misc hardware items.

Just gotta get the block cleaned and painted now.
I have new head gaskets and the bolt set ready to go so I can get this thing bolted back together once I get all the oil and grime off the block.
Been trying to source a complete tranny now so I can start mocking everything up in the chassis.
I can't really move forward till the motor/trany combo is in so I can go ahead and clearance for the 5.3-60e while I'm clearing for everything else on the bodydrop.

Thanks guys, I figure I might as well get creative while I have some spare time before the rest of the build starts to pile up on me later.
I can't wait to get a tranny so I can yank the old 350 and mock everything up!
