After I got that all done, I swapped the 4.10s for some 3.42s and put 6 degree pinion shims to fix the pinion angle. I kept having fuel pump/pickup problems. It kept getting air in the line somehow and kept cavitating. I had the bed off at least 6 times and the pump apart 3 times trying to fix it. Here are some pics of the inards of the pump.
I had been eyeing the aeromotive fuel cells with the built in A1000 pumps since I started the build and I decided to bite the bullet and get it so I would be done with the fuel system and not have to worry about it anymore. It came with a one wire sender that I wouldnt be able to use with my in-dash level gauge so I took the stock one off the bucket, trimmed it to fit in the hole, made a bracket to mount it in the Aeromotive sender location and used the float that came with the Aeromotive one. Here are some picks of the sender fab and some mounted pictures.
Since then I made up some hoses for the two vents and that runs underneath the truck. I also have a MSD 2 step I got from my roommate and at 2900 rpm on the footbrake I can build 6psi so It should rip if the slicks hold which they should. I plan to make a trip to the track soon after a little tuning and see what it does on 9psi. Im thinking it should be bottom 11s as is and I hope to get it into the 10s on pump gas so we shall see.
