    cam swap

    i jus recently got a XER273HR14 comp cam, 224/230 duration 581/592 lift 114lsa. thinking about going ahead and doing install without stall or headers that i have planned. any advice on pro and cons of doing this without the added parts? also after install loading on trl to take to dyno tune in jax fl

    Well i f ya don't already you'll need a tune... I'd get a nelsons there great and good ppl. Also your not going to see the full potentional without full bolt ons. Also your gunna want a stall with that cam. I have a tr 220 .551 and I'm gunna do a 3200stall asap

    Need a stall and tune ASAP. Cam that big needs a stall.

    thanks i plan on getting stall and headers but jus itching to get cam in. i'm gonna take truck to local shop for dyno tune

    Don't need headers, you can still make power without them. Trust me. I made 518rwhp thru a completely stock exhaust. (On a 150 shot)

    Mind you, you do eventually need them. My engine N/A peaks at 5800. It's essentially choking itself out up high.
