Performabuilt with a circle d 3200 278mm. I have a circle d 3200 in my truck and around town it is barely noticeable. But when you punch it you definetley feel the difference from the stock converter. Best bang for your buck in my opinion as well as longtubes. Not trying to be an A$# but longtubes usually pick up about 15-20rwhp in a useful rpm range where shorties usually do nothing until 5000 rpms up and even then they don't really do anything.

The difference between winning and losing, is having a 2nd stage.
You want some more parts okay okay.... I know a couple good options. You should jump on a throttle body spacer for sure. Oh and port and polish your throttle body, but don't worry about paying anyone its pretty easy just use your basic rotary tool. Oh and don't forget to match the throttle body spacer too.
Okay in all seriousness you should get a bigger cam, a stall to match, and longtubes. I would get an 80e IMO or you could get a performabuilt if you want to spend more money on the trans and less on the TC. It's all up to you good luck, but listen to what the boys on here tell you they know their shiz.

waiting to go in... 3.90s, 214/220cam
IMO
1. get a tune
2. get a converter
3. get gears
4. do a cam swap with a real cam
5. get board with it and sell a kidney on the black market to buy a TT setup, and still not go fast enough
Seems you skipped 2, and 3.
What 1500 do you have? RCSB? ECLB? 4x4 2wd?
Give more info and how much $ do you wanna spend?
OH and long tubes.......![]()

God created turbo lag so nitrous trucks could have a chance.

I'm going to one up EVERYONE. And just say don't mod your truck.
If you REALLY want to waste a LOT of money, just go forced induction. Seriously don't screw around. You're going to say, oh I want to save money I'll just do a cam and stall now, then nitrous, then remove all the stuff you just installed and go forced induction.
