thinking bout making my own stand alone harness but have questions??

ok iv been looking around at harness for my dbc 5.3 but have also looked at the pin outs at lt1swap.com. now i need to retain all smog equipment and will be running a manual trans so i can delete the trans wiring. i understand all sensors 12v positive have to hook up to a 12v accessory controlled by the ignition and that i need to run the two 12v constants off the harness to the ignition. Now heres my question i will be running alot of accessories in this truck so i would like to retain the fuse block off the 5.3 harness, can i wire the 12v constants from the fuse block and the accessories positive from the fuse block to the ignition like the factory would or is it more complicated then that?
