    TAC module? HELP!

I have an '06 silverado with a DBW and I hate this damn electronic throttle. That said, for some reason my throttle is doing what ever it wants to. I turn the air conditioner on and the throttle jumps to 12% on its own when I'm braking to a stop. Also, the truck revs to about 2000rpm(about 10%) on cold start and slowly backs down to idle. I can't figure this damn thing out and it is driving me crazy. Is my TAC module bad? Please help

It'd be nice if it was that easy but I doubt that is the case. My tuner was at it for hours and he couldn't figure it out.....niether could a few others. For some reason my TPS jumps all over the place on the scanner but only under certain conditions. On top of that, the throttle occasionally backs off by itself. I'll be at about 60% throttle and suddenly it feels like I'm lifiting off the throttle. All the while, the pedal is in the same position. This problem is going to induce an ulsar

All original parts? No mix and match? No codes?

There are common mechanical and electrical issues with these that are easily fixed but I am leaning towards a tune issue, especially if there are no codes and the parts aren't from a grab bag.

Whatever you do, DO NOT take it to a dealer to try and figure it out I learned that today. My truck wasn't there half an hour (DBW issues), I got a call from the OWNER of the dealership, wanted off his lot immediately as it was a giant liability because of the nitrous. I got there and the police with a tow truck were waiting for me. They were gonna take the damn thing, because of the nitrous. Sorry boys, the bottle is at home in my bedroom nothing illegal here. Officer dipshit wasn't pleased about being wrong.

I thought it was electrical with the code it's throwing U0107, the tech at the dealer managed to tell me a reprogramming would fix it. But he wouldn't touch it. So Casey thinks (and I'm praying) he can fix it in the tune.

That's pretty crazy. Cops waiting with a tow truck because of nitrous. Anyways, are you saying the VCM may need to be reprogrammed? If so, I can deal with that. All I'm really interested in is whether or not my hardware is sound.

Dumbass dealers and the people that are employed by them make us (ME) look stupid. A reprogram on the French's would be disaster because of the VIN vs. equipment. Calling the law is the utmost last resort with any customer relations sitch. GHEY!

    I'll ask the OP again....

Parts mixed and matched? Don't use DBW parts from different apps and hope they all get along unless you REALLY know what you're doing. Once again, if the parts all go together and there are no codes, look at the tune. It should set codes for the behavior you describe. Possible the "tuner" turned off so many reports it won't tell you the truth.
