it ain't that I'm too big to listen to the rumors, It's just that I'm too damn big to pay attention to 'em..That's the difference

Are you gonna put a drain in your pan while it's off?
Slowest in Oklahoma...
Yes sir I am, and taping the plate for the supply. The rod bolts are done! First pass was 40ftlbs then 45ftlbs and rechecked then all. Ill tap the pan tomorrow probably and put it all back together. The cam, springs and pushrods come in Wednesday so I will probably wait to button it all up till I get the cam and oil pump in. Ill post some pics in a little bit

very nice build.
5.3 2wd upgrades: Nelson tune, stainless lt's, magnaflow, e-fans, msd's, cai.
^^Thanks man. Here are the pics from today, not very good quality but its the best i could do working under the truck. My roommate took the oil pan to his work and he is drilling and tapping it now. sounds kind of dirty lol.

How much of a pita was it to pull the pan with the motor in the truck? I need to put rod bolts in mine, from what I understand its not to bad.
It's not too bad if your truck has the removable crossmember under the engine.
See my truck data in the "My Garage" section here... http://www.ls1truck.com/forums/my-ga...tml#post191709
Yea like red said, as long as its 2wd and has a removable member, which im sure yours has, its a breeze. Just pull the member, pull the bolts out the steering rack and let it hang down, then pull your pan bolts

Crazy build buddy. Looking good though. I'm interested on how she will perform. Iat wise. Also with so much piping under the hood if everything is gonna stand up to the heat around it. Plastic connectors and all that jazz. Wrap her up good and see how it does!
I dig it just because I've never see it done like this.
