Sorry if this has already been covered. Can someone explain to me why he needs an 88mm turbo to make only 550hp?

he doesnt but with a 376 and future goals the 88 would make sense, however a PTE76 would work well and still make big power for him, hit hard as

i thought you were a 6.2.....parish made high 800s and low 1000s torque with the pt76 on his 408 then went to the Pt88. honestly dude if the combo is setup right the large cubes arent needed as much. now when you want to step up to the big leagues then the large cubes with large turbos. however look at what some of the guys recently are doing with small motors. glock high 10s, foose high 10s both with 4.8s both with similar size turbos. then theres that OBS with a 5.3 and similar size turbo going 10s as well.

in the boosted game you can easily go into a money pit and hate your setup. ask alot of the guys and theyll tell you similar. i know i would of went far with my 4.8 and 88mm if i would stick a auto in place. i know i would be well into low 10s with an auto now. use that as your thoughts, SVT this runs a pt76 mm and is mid high 9s ? least thats what i thought i seen.

Stock48 even says his TC76 setup is quicker then his PT88 setup on a 370 however the PT88 allowed him to go mid 9s in a TRUE STEET Truck and still the fastest LS powered street truck.
slow spooling nets slower ET but higher mph, im becoming more of fan of instant spool and broader power band. if i had your truck a 76 would work well IMHO. if you went with a MP then i would find a 80mm MP if they made one. they just arent as effeicent as the precesions or the turbonetics

i prefer precision however my little turbonetics are pretty baddass little buggers

for the entry level low budget crowd a MP is a stout piece

if this helps if i was going to buy new turbos again i would go wit hthe precision billet units
Tial is making turbo housings now too. I just got some Garrett/HTA 3586's with Tial stainless steel turbine housings.

Come on guys make me an offer I can't refuse, lol.

I just received the two Garrett/HTA 3586's I ordered a while back and want to get rid of these. I have a stockpile of turbos right now.

The two on the left are Garrett 3686's for the Camaro, the two in the middle are the Garrett GT-76's I was going to use on the Silverado truck but have them for sale right now to get one big turbo instead of twins and the one on the right is a Comp 80/79 for the Hemi truck.

I think one GT-76 should get you to 500-600 rwhp. I have them listed on PT and LS1 and will be posting them for sale here too shortyl.
