I BELIEVE the bell housings AND tailshafts are different on the s10's vs fullsizes. You could have both swapped over from fullsize to s10 trans...but the tailshaft involves pulling it all apart. Honestly, I would try to sell the s10 trans, and just pick up a fullsize trans from the boneyard if you can't afford a rebuild.
