    2BoostedSilverado Garage

I'll start a new fresh Garage Here.

My Truck started like a work truck in a Construction Company. After I bought a new work truck, I left this one to play some.

The base was RCSB 4wd 5.3L/4L60E, 3.73 gears

Then I moved to heads, Roller rockers, cam, TB, 3200 stall TCI converter, TransGo Shift Kit, Headers, 2.5" magnaflow, 42 injectors, K&N CAI, ZEX wet kit and 200HP shot.
Results were a Fast Truck that could piss on heavy moded Subaru.

    http://s89.photobucket.com/albums/k2...vyVsSubaru.mp4

But since the 5.3L was stock bottom, I think some of the races on NOS took a toll I could not see on the engine that had over 200,000 ,miles, and so was the Transmission, both never repair, just moded.

By this Time Allen Nelson was all Happy with his SlowAlanche with a rear mounted Turbo, and he was talking to me install one of those kits.....I even remember him having a sticker in the rear side of the truck with an arrow pointing the Turbo.....that was hilarious.
I never like it because I live in the tropical RAIN forest and a lot of reports at that time from Camaros with that system always were negative on rainy conditions.

But then a saviour came in action, TRICK PERFORMANCE with their first Front Mount Turbo system with inter-cooler. The pictures were awesome, It looked great, so I asked Allen for one, and he told me that it was a great product, and sold me one with all the whistles, Turbonetics T76 and 60 injectors. Took out the Zex system and installed the Turbo kit.

After the install, It ride nice on 8psi, kind of the same with the NAZ, but I did not recharge bottles any more. I drive it for a while but I knew the engine/trans will not last longer.
Since the Cam was not the best option for boosted aplication, I always wanted more, so I keep raising boost ti'll 13 psi, and when I floored, trans gave up and 2nd to 3rd went blanc, the rev limiter hit real hard, until the engine shut down.
Diagnosis, one Rod Broke, and make a hard exit by the oil pan. Engine was Done !!!

So from here, I started talking with Allen, and brainstorming for an Iron 5.7L
But finally decide for a All Forged 408ci with stock LS6 heads, Turbo Cam.
So I left everything in Allen Nelson's hands. But I had a special request. Due to my living location, I need the engine to be blueprinted, balance, break in, and test in a truck before shipment.
And because that super Extra mile is why I have so much appreciation for Allen. Imagin all the work installing the engine in Farmtruc, tuning it, testing it, also I wanted him to make a pass, but he told me he had traction issues. after that taking out the engine, cleaning it, putting in a crate, and delivering it to South America...DAMN !

After taking delivery of my engine, I install it with also a Level 5 FLT 4L65E. (FLT was an Sponsor at that time). Put some 24" rims on it, because I saw an xtended cab with those that looked awesome, but on mine it looked so Dunk.
    ]

With this setup I ran the best of 12.5secs @ 1/4 mile at 8psi. As soon as I try to push 12 psi, the FLT gave up on me, literally welding itself.

At this point I was kind of piss off, Talk to the guys at FLT and no warranty was apply. They told me that I need a 80E. So did Allen, but no way the 80e was coming from FLT.
Allen Wanted to build one for me.....and I was like thanks, but no thanks....can't afford to be a guinea pig this far away from warranty.
I search a lot all over US and Australia builders. Then I came across a few that literally build inner parts for transmissions, and sell them to all the builders out there. Finally I decide my self for an east coast builder at NY, CK Performance.
Talk a lot with the owner Christoforos Kokkonis, that had a lot of experience with boosted cars. I bought his stronger 80E with a PRO Torque converter. Have no regrets about it until now. Awesome trans.

In the mean time I was waiting for the Trans, Allen had a new love affair with Power Master Turbos, and sold me their new design at that time, the MP45R.

Having the truck down, I decided to give it a make over.

I bought from duraflex the front fenders, front and rear bumpers. A lowering kit from Eibach. 24" were replaced for 20" wheels.

Then I saw Lambodonomo Black Mate look, and I fell in love with it. So I painted that way.
    This was the result:

After this, The power was great. The MP45R was worth every penny. The weight reduction also was great. The 80e is working great, but the rear axle didn't hold.

Have to replace the spider gears for some OEM ones.

Now a few things I have changed, I added a Methanol/Water Injection kit from AEM, a 2 step from MSD, tail lights, front lens lights.

This is a trip to a racing field. Fastest Pass to date is 11.21 secs the 1/4mile at 12psi, launching at 3-4psi. AFR at wot still too rich, but soon I want to Boost 15 psi with a fine tune and the new WCCH in the way.

A few weeks ago I start hearing a exhaust leak, but couldn't find the source until it was big enough.
It happens that the 42lbs of dead weight plus the vibration of the engine and a few more variable took out the Trick Turbo Manifold, because It was not design for that. Took the turbo Log out, plasma welded and put it back on, with a reinforcement attached to the head.
I hope this hold, because the other option is upgrading my hot pipes.

I been all about chevy, mostly for the reason I was born in a Blazer K5...j/K

But recently here, prices on Ford Trucks drop a lot. You can get a fully loaded FX4 for $41,000, and a XLT for $38,000. (The Chevy is $55,000+ for the base Hybrid and $82,000 for the base Gasoline CrewCab)

So I need a truck to trash at the Farm, and went for the FORD XLT. I can Confirm my love to Chevy. From the seat comfort to the power, Ford is a POS. But I feel no guilt trashing it every way I can.

Since HPtuners still don't support 11 FORDs, I have to deal with the stupid Transmission, Top speed limit and other things.

I have to go down in flames with this truck, but I decided to do it with some style at least. Bought some Accessories, Shocks, Wheels and tires, Side Step Bars, Bed Tonneau, Head lights lenses, ans some interior amenities.

Bilstein Shocks 5100 Adjustable high Front. Raised 2" on the back, 2.25" on the front

Helo wheels, Cooper Zeon Tires 305-50-20

Halo head lights with angel eyes and leds

    Oval 4" side step tubes

Pace Edwards Jack Rabbit Rolling cover

    Weather Tech Digital fit Mats

DVD Pioneer Head unit with rear view Camera, 4 infinity 3 ways speakers in the doors and infinity Bass Link amplified under back seat.

Still waiting for 1/2" fender flares, but final product is like this :

that story of how allen did all that work for you on the 408 is very stand up and impressive. That says alot for a customer-buisnessman relationship. Shows allen has a lot of character
    2002 Lightning - GT headed 5.5Litre w/ Twin 7665s
    2002 Silverado - 427Lsx w/ Twin gt4202s
    2010 Silverado crewcab Z71 - 5.3litre w/ procharger
    2000 Wrangler - 5.3litre with some stance
    2014 Xsport- 3.5 Eco boost
    412 Motorsports

it ain't that I'm too big to listen to the rumors, It's just that I'm too damn big to pay attention to 'em..That's the difference

Just for a little background, building a truck, or buying anything for that matter cost here twice and sometimes triple of the original cost. (only hybrids and Electric cars pays low taxes, you see them here every corner !)
For this reason, getting the right part every time is not an option. In this matter, Allen has delivered every time. Not only the cost is real high, but the time for getting parts is unbelievable !
And I hate to give away my money, an believe me sometimes I don't know what are Allen winnings, because his prices are most of the times equal or lower to what I search in the internet !!!
This story is just a small sample of a business relationship that was born late 2005 and had grown stronger, and became a friendship.

Another example of that xtra mile, is when he went to a dealer, place the order for a 2010 Camaro SS. He did all the work, took it to his shop, tune it, never used it, and I beg him to take it to a drag strip to have some numbers, but instead, he was more responsibly than me in that matter. HE had to hold the car in his shop taking out usable space to work, because my ship was late !!!!

And sometimes when I read post from weird people that I know Exactly where they came from (Casey rance <turbo00busa@yahoo.com> Tue, Apr 24, 2007 at 6:54 PM

Hey man !! thanks for the pics !! I bought a front mount off of a Corvette they made 740hp with it on a 346 with heads and cam and 14psi of boost ? Anyway I have a Racetronix hot wire system, the turbo is 68-69mm 50mm RaceGate ( came with turbo system ) 38mm blow off valve on the way ... NO camshaft as of yet .. I am also looking at the same fans in summit racing for my truck they seem to look really nice and fit great .. I now have some 42? delphi injectors they are the biggest you can use in a stock truck fuel rail... I got my 3200 converter today i am just waiting on the intercool and pipe and fans... My truck was daily driven with the whipple for over 80,000 miles !! and even with whipples crappy electronics it was a reliable daily driver ... I am pretty scared about the turbo set up but i am really looking forward to being able to run more then twice the boost... I have been thinking about putting 317 heads on my truck to kill some compression.. I guess at that point i should toss in a cam lifters and pushrods... hell thats another 800.00 in the 5.3L but then again i could use that top end package on a much bigger motor just get more camshaft ..... KC)
Just trigger me off, not because Allen is my hero, but because I know he is a Human like all of us, and a great friend.

Enough of Talking about that fat guy...this is my Garage, and soon I'll post the inners of the Camaro 69 with the LSX Project. I know is no truck, but still fun and tech usable experience!!
