I have the 220/220 .581 112 in my 5.3 with the stock verter and runs pretty good. This cam with headers and tune have given good gains.

I've got a thunder racing cheaTR cam. 219/230 .607/.604 117LSA. Sounds like stock at warm idle but runs like a raped ape. Like stated above a good torque converter would make a world of difference.

I do have lope at idle, not real choppy but enough to notice it has a cam. It is a baby cam though.

http://www.engpwrsys.com/index.php?a...od&productId=5 The EPS lobes are hot right now, lots of people making great power with not so radical cams.

I had Pat G spec me a cam for a basically stock 5.3, I didn't want to lose that much bottom end but wanted it to just scream up top, he spat this one out only on a 111 LSA.
