    T-56 GM/Ford application differences

so i can find a mustang t56 cheaper and easier than a gm one.. is there a difference in the case and bellhousing to transmisson bolt pattern. and dose anyone know if the input shaft is any differnt.. or any other differences between them.. i dont care if i have to rebuild with a different input/output shaft but i was jw so when i buy one it will work... im putting a t56 in my 69 c10 im not worried about putting it in so i posted here not in the conversions section..

bell housings are removable the input shafts are going to be different...rebuild with the updated syncro materials and the steel shift fork and change to a sbc input shaft. It will depend on what engine is in your c10. The LS1 input is different than the LT1 input
