I just broke some gear on the rear. Pinion and Ring are OK. The Pin is all worn out. I have a RCSB 4x4 2002 Silverado with 3.73 Original Open rear. Axels are 32 Splines. What do you recomend?

Is not a Daily driver, just a Weekend warrior, and puts about 800hp to the wheels. Drag race is most, autocross never, and just cruise some looking for japs.

I have a 69 Camaro with TrueTrac that is also weekend warrior and have worked a charm, but dont know if the same locker is made for the truck.

    Thanks in advance
Hello, I will need to know the number of rear cover bolts to be sure, but it is probably an 8.6 with 30 spline axles. The Truetrac is a nice unit which we offer for $385.00.

    Thanks, Ron

    10 bolt, 32 spline, 3.73 open carrier

At least a powertrax, or any solution

    Thanks in advance

Ron, I roasted the LSD in my 04 Avalanche Z66 this weekend. I am VERY interested in a replacement for it, what would you recomend and do you offer a guide for installation? Thanks! I hear nothing but good stuff about you!

i know you're asking ron, but i got the detroit true trac from ron for my 05 avalanche, the construction is nice and rugged looking, like it's strong and machined very well.
has a nice center pin setup.
that and a basic rebuild / install kit should be all you need.

i did the master rebuild kit, but didn't need it.

I had the carrier bearings and pinion bearings replaced last fall, the told me that the LSD needed work but I decided not too. I think it should be good to go with just a new carrier, but I am open to suggestions.

Hey guys what gears do you think I should get? I currently have about 440 rwhp (an estimate with the addition of lt's, deleted cats, true 3" duals and nelson tune to my last dyno run at 356hp/369tq)...it was on a mustang dyno so the 356hp/369tq should've be higher too.

what gears should I run at that power level and with me running 255/75/17 tires they are about 31.6" tall.

    Thanks guys

    i would run a minimum of 4.10's with a 31" tire.

we've done 4.56 gears in the past with 31" tires and they run great!
rpms are still acceptable on the highway.
