    4.3L to 5.3L conversion done

    Here's the final product.

Stock 4.3L was replaced with a stock 5.3L.
We used the stock trans and fan clutch/rad/shroud setup.
The conversion went fairly quick and easier than anticipated, and easier than the previous swaps.
One thing that helped were the Dirty Dingo engine mounts. It may not seem like a big deal afterwards, but during a conversion, half an inch off makes things a pita when positioning the engine and trans.

We need to make a heat shield for the filter, clean up the fuse block wiring, and it's done.
    No a/c btw.

It's dirty, but Here you go:

If you give us a call, we can quote you , I really don't like posting conversions, because they are always different from one truck to the next, this one was just a tad over an engine swap since it went easier.

Ya, test out the trans on the lift today, every gear hit and then lockup came in.

thanks, if anything changes, i'll update the post.

looks awsome, he could of had yall make a CAI lol but non the less looks stock. GM should have put together an awsome power plant like this from the get go. stupid 4.3s suck.

also i see you dont have any relays from the factory harness on the firewall nor the "power block" like the 90-94s i guess ill just take out my relay that i have no idea what it goes to lol.

its not that bad of a price imo. are you gonna try your hand at tuning it? if not id recommend grabbing a tuned ecm too that way you wont be fighting to figure out exactly what needs to be turned off in the vats/security stuff.. wow thats stressful

No, I have no experience in tuning, so I am going to get a tuned computer from them as well, very excited about it, but it's prob. going to be about 6 months yet, but that's ok, it will be worth the wait!

Ya, there's a lot we wanted to do, but one step at a time for him. He was very excited about a cam, headers, ect, but it adds up quick, as we all know haha.

No relays there, i think i know what you're talking about my '94 had them on the passenger side. I can't remember what they did, my a fuel pump relay.

I did use the power block though in the past.
