Hood clearance is the reason for the switch. Otherwise, i agree, not worth it. So i have never heard that the ls6 is a better choice then the ls1 intake. What makes the ls6 better? Or perhaps you could give me some search tips cause im really not havin alot of luck!

    intake

you will loose power with the ls1 the ls6 and truck intakes are close Never researched out all the differances but its been talked about much for years, hence the reason ls6 intakes are 300 + and ls1s are dirt cheap Im not positive but i think that the ls6 accepts a larger tb.

LS6 and Ls1 use the same size TBs. LS2 uses a larger one.

So is there really a big enough difference to justify the extra money? If we are talking a 10hp difference in peakHP then i think i can deal with it for the money savings. Is there any other reasons why ls6 is better?
