    6.0s tend to eat stock 60s for breakfast lunch and dinner. Find some 799 or 243 heads off an 07+ truck and swap them on, wouldnt hurt.

    you might of not look into it to much. the motor is phsyically the same outside. its a direct swap with only thing needed is reprogram of computer.


    stock motor the 60e will hold up fine if youre not a complete idiot!!!! i know a few ppl personally with stock trannys holding up to power and adult abuse. if you abuse anything it will break. also if person tuning the setup does shitty job then yes your trans will fail sooner then later.

    Yeah I think ima stick with the 4.8. Just put some headers, cam, maybe a pulley kit later on etc..

    4.8 is a solid motor but no way a good motor for how you have your truck. for 600 bucks you can buy a 6.0 and install it. stock lq4 even with manifolds and etc will run better then teh 4.8 with bolt ons in that truck of yours

    craigslist, ebay, classifieds and etc

    buddy on here has a craigslist ad for 425 for a 02 LQ4
    friend got his whole dropout for 700 thats 80e, 6ltire, wiring, accessories, battery cables, throttle cable, dip sticks, manifolds, crossover pipe, mounts

    if you search hardenough you wil lget results

    i want a link to the ad or his phone number. i check craigslist everyday as the forum for sale here and several other everyday and never come up with one for under 2k. i fount a lq4 shortblock stock for 850 was the best ive fount.

    same here, ive searched high and low and only find 5.3s for like 400 bucks.
    Guess ill have to call greenleaf automotive and get a 6.0 with a warranty for 2 grand.
