The difference between winning and losing, is having a 2nd stage.
R U Sure you're engine is going to last that long?
Not trying to make it difficult. You don't have to line up against any particular person, just make a pass, grab your time sheet, walk over to the board and if your times are better than those posted let the person watching the board know and they'll add you to the list. It will be a live FTL instead of waiting until you get home to post your times on the site, so those that come to the GTG can see the best times since all those that attend don't necessarily visit this site. Maybe we can have a site affiliation tagged onto it, too?

I started this thread based on a conversation I had with allen about having a single class for those of us who primarily race our trucks, not drive them everyday. This race would not hardly cut into test n tune time and there would be plenty of time for grudge racing and callouts. Also the fastest truck list on this site is for just that. Ya'll can even start a list for passes made only at this race, but that has nothing to do with the fact that there are a handle full of people that we could get together that would make very fun 16 truck bracket. Its been mention numerous times....there is not enough time in a whole day (let alone half a day) of racing and not enough trucks to accomodate 10 different classes. That being said, when I had talked to allen we had talked about basically having 3 types of races going on. Test n tune/grudge racing, bracket racing open to anyone and this fastest 16 truck deal. This thread was to get allen's attention so he could post up for everyone to see exactly what is going to take place to give everyone a decent amount of time to prepare. This was not meant to be another suggestions for raceday thread as we already have one of those.
My suggestion has nothing to do with challenges, race classes or anything else. It is just a tally board so that those that make a pass can be proud and post up their results for comparison to others. Nobody that is racing there will be able to sit in the stands and watch all the trucks to see what they run so that they can find a fair race or maybe a truck that they want to model their engine setup from. If we have a way to track times then it just would be a cool way to find out what are the fastest trucks all at the same elevation, air quality, temp and such. The FTL does not account for different tracks, locations and such.
Can SAR give Allen a printout of all racer's results? If so, maybe we can put together an Excel spreadsheet of the day's results. When everyone registers they should enter their mods and engine size.

1970 Chevelle ly6 swap....d1 coming soon
Knowing race weights will help, too. RC, EC, CC all come into play when you know the race weight. We all know the Mitch ride is the heavyweight.
