    TySy based yukon?

hey guys, i have a noob question. I've been doing a lot of research on modding my 94' 2dr yukon. i've been toying around with the idea of making this truck into a quick AWD truck with reasonably priced parts. i was thining about doing a 4l80e swap with a manual transfercase from at 2500HD. but then i forgot all about the syclone until recently. Is it possible that some of the parts from the syclone i.e. front and rear diff and transfercase, will fit in the big rigs?? i know the transfercase is pretty robust and found in AWD astro vans and bravada's...shouldn't be too hard to find

please dont bash, i'm still new to all this on the domestic side....i'm used to imports and turboed 4-bangers

Youve got the right idea, especially for creativity, but a conversion like that would end up being kinda pricey. And I dont know if Id call the driveline parts from the SyTy's 'robust', but they might be able to deal with the weight difference

you would be much better off using the parts from a denaili or silverado ss

    2000 Wrangler - 5.3litre with some stance

it ain't that I'm too big to listen to the rumors, It's just that I'm too damn big to pay attention to 'em..That's the difference

    Not a Denali....SSS or Escalade....or the Sy/Ty T/C...don't use a Denali T/C unless it's from a Sierra Denali or a 01-02 Yukon Denali.

Just being more specific. Since the C3 and Sierra Denali are the original SSS they have the right one. The 03+ YD like mine has the open type that's brake modulated.

It is s great idea. A 4l80 will work with the awd transfer you just have to swap out the input gear. The input gear can be purchased from a guy "time2kill" I think on Silveradoss.com .I am not real sure about the front diff for your application. Maybe 99 and earlier denalis were awd. I am not sure.

There are a lot more Yukon Denalis out there than Sierra Denalis and there are a lot more 03+ than the older ones so in most cases commonly available Denali cases would not be the desirable type.

BTW, the OBS 99-2000 Denalis AND Escalades have the older style NP8 selectable 2HI/4HI/N/4LO not AWD.
