    ticking

I have noticed that with my truck on acceleration there seems to be ticking/rattling sound, the sound goes away as I speed up. Does any one have any idea as to what I should look at as the problem and how to go about correcting the problem. My truck is a 99 silverado with 353+ km on the engine. The truck has really been looked after well and has never had any major issues.

Could be an exhaust leak. Or what about the infamous piston slap?
