Should be stamped on the block for all of them. The two different 6.0's LQ4, LQ9 have different piston tops. LQ9 is dished? and LQ4 is flat top?

yeah they were stamped on the block. Yeah as the years go up the motors get better I believe. They have a HO 5.3 and the 01 LQ4 6.0 is better than the 99. Ive got scatter brain on all this information right now though lol

    4.8 has flat tops
    5.3 has dish
    LQ4 had dish
    LQ9 has flat

99-00 LQ4 is junk and not worth anything but a block core.
blocks are stamped on front right of motor
cant visually tell a 4.8 from a 5.3. need a scope to see if it has dish or not

same thing with a LQ4 or LQ9, need scope to tell dish or not

Vins dont mean anything these days. ppl have swapped motors over years and you never know what motor is actually in the vehicle unless its 100% untouched

any LQ9 is good choice, 05+LQ4 have same rods as the LQ9 and LS2

it ain't that I'm too big to listen to the rumors, It's just that I'm too damn big to pay attention to 'em..That's the difference

The size is on the block inside the bell housing above the rear cover plate.
