    5.3 to 6.0 cam

    I have a TR 220/220/ .556/.556 on a 112 + 4 cam.

I bought this for my 2001 5.3 that has full bolt on's. My intentions were to install this cam after the first of the year along with a TT3000 on a 4L60E.

I ended buying a 2000 Chevy 4x4 2500 with a 6.0 and 4L80E this weekend. Would this cam work well in the 6.0 and if so, should I stick with a TT3000 or drop down to the TT2600? This truck is basically stock with a cat-back system.

This will be my daily driver and used to tow from time to time but not often and nothing heavy. It has 3.73's, lift and 33 inch tires. I will be adding LT's and remove the cats and add electric fans within a couple of weeks. I'm not sure yet as what or how I'm going to upgrade the intake.

The truck will be used off road in sand and mud on occasion.

your trans should be an 80e. and an 80e stock stall is close to 2600 now or little higher.
