    4.8L or 6.0L---> Funny huh?

    Ok...I'm really looking hard for a LQ4 6.0 to drop in my truck. I've had a few people tell me that I should just go ahead and build my 4.8L b/c it would be a lot cooler to outrun someone with a 4.8...that's very true, but I'm not real sure how hard and how high it would be to build a fast 4.8. I found a LQ4 that had been through a fire and I was told that a lot of the upper part of the engine was ruined. They only want $500 for it and I could transfer most of the 4.8 parts to it. What're you guys' suggestions on the deal?

    be careful with burned motors. aluminium melts, and iron can warp. even the slightest warp on the block could cause problems. you can however bore out the 4.8 to take 5.7 pistons, and the rods and crank will fit perfect. nobody will know its not a 4.8 but you.
