    ls3 crate motor

well, my from dampener/ hermonic blacncer losened up and kinda chewed up the front of my crank, and my first plan was to start building a 408 stroker, but now ive just seen the new 6.2 ls3 crate motor 480hp 515 ft it looks like a great replacement, anyways i can get the motor for a prity desnt price from the dealer, the only thing thats stoping me is i dont know if my manga charger will bolt on, and what ill have to change besites the oil pan, witch is hopfully the same, and if i could get it tuned. im very close to buying it should make good power, and looking at the specs it looks very simialr to my lq9, any imput would be great thankshttp://www.gmperformanceparts.com/Parts/showcase_detail.jsp?engine=2

wow, you'll almost have an LS9 with that combination. Be sure that you get the front pulley pinned or keyed to the crankshaft or you'll be facing the same issue again.

You know it is setup to use a carbed intake, right? If you go with the LS3 480, you retain the fuel injection intake manifold and 90mm TB...that would be the setup I would personally go with... Sell the Maggie and use the cash to buy more mods for the LS3 crate motor! If you sell the Maggie, let me know...

well today i found out the heads are differnt, so i think im gona go back to my 408 stroker plan, i could make alot of power with a carb but id like to keep it injected because my k30 and 442 bigblocks are carb, and most deffently arnt daily drivers

Just get the LS3 and buy the supercharger from GM (LS9-ZR1) at a later date. Then you'll have a LS9, nobodies doing that!

i havent seen the supercharger availble, alls i know is the gm tech line said the motor wasnt going to work in my truck, im not sure if he was refuring to the harness being differernt fuel line locations or what i didnt talk to him, but it looks like if the belhousing is the same and the motor mounts will line up, im sure i could make everything work, its hard to find information on the motor
