    Head Work

I have some 799 heads I plan to use on my 5.3, but I dont know what to do to them. I was thinking milled .40 and 3 angle job, along with bigger valves. Any suggestions, or advice would help. Currently truck has 212/218 cam, tb stall, headers, 3" full exhaust, ud pulley, tbss 90mm intake, volant air intake and nitrous. I want to use the heads with this setup first, then i'll eventually get a cam and stall to match the heads.

have you thought about what your CR would be with the milling of the heads at .40 ?

get them ported by a pro, WCCH ports heads i would talk to someone that has a good rep on porting!! setup sounds nice or will be once done... when you decide on cam get it spec'd ... it should run very well
    Simple: 408 on steroids!
    single digits coming soon!

Im not too sure on the CR, but I believe milling the heads .30 brings up the compression to about stock, more or less. So milling .40 should increase the CR more than whats stock.

now are you talking .30 mm or .030"? Use your decimals properly or its very confusing. .30(mm) would only be about .012".

I have a guy thats puts most of the BIG name places to shame on head work... Last set dyno'd 32rwhp/27ftlbs on port work alone. They did not get milled for a compression increase. Its a stock bottom end LS1 with 243 heads and a ms4 cam. 438/391 before and 470/418 after. Same dyno and weather.
