need help wiring!!

I think I found all the wires but the tach.
I know its white, but there are a bunch of white wires.


And the AC for the electric fans.
I think its the green one on the sensor in the front neck of the AC pulley/clutch.

Do I splice into that wire on the side going into the sensor or the side going towards the harness?

I am getting in on this late, but I had a similar problem with mine when I was trying to start for the first time.
On my truck there are two large silver fuses, relays, or circuit breakers, (forgive my ignorance) plugged into the fuse panel.
I can't remember exactly what I did, but they would pop and the truck would not turn over.
I could unhook the battery and they would reset then the truck would crank. From that I would assume they are circuit breakers.
This may have already been addressed and if so, just disregard.
If not, I can try to give futher details when I am home where I can look at the truck.

no it hasnt been resolved yet Pat its really annoying me too because its the only thing really keeping my truck off the road... i really want to get it figured out. im wicked confused because i havent changed anything from the stock solenoid wire so i dont understand why it gets no signal to the purple wire its all the factory stuff!!! can you elaborate on what you had to do. yours is a standard to so at least we have that element in common too!

keep me posted on this i noticed as well when the we started the truck with a wrench that the tach doesnt work. what needs to be hooked up for this to work correctly? may as well get on this subject.... on a good note the oil pressure works great is constant and im not sure about the temp guage because it hasnt run for long enough. battery is fine and i cant test the speedo yet haha.

I think I'm going to try the white wire that plugged into the 305 coil.

Hope the stock computer does'nt change the signal before the gauges.

Make sure every ground wire possible, is grounded properly. Grounds are very important to a LS1 starting. All black wires, large & small, are chassis grounds. All black with white tracers are computer related engine grounds. This is true with both your '98 trucks wiring and your LS1 harness wiring. Make sure you have the engine grounded to the chassis. Make sure you have the battery grounded to the engine. And make sure you have the battery grounded to the chassis. On your '98. the large yellow coming out of your C-100 connector, otherwise know as your main firewall wire outlet, connects directly to your original large purple wire going "to" your power center's starter relay. The power center is the black plastic box that all your relays & fuses are in, in the drivers rear corner of the engine compartment. On the underside of the lid of your power center, is a diagram of the location, size & function of each relay & fuse. Hope this helps.

Kyle, your tach might not work because the resolution is still at 6. Did Allen change it to 3 in the tune? I tried calling you again this afternoon with no luck. When you try to start the engine is the starter relay working?

haha phone tag sucks... ill call you again tomorrow night sorry i wasnt home tonight. we will connect at some point or another. umm as for the 3 or 6 thing i have no idea... is there a way to tell other than calling him? if it is at 6 will i have to get a new tune at 3?

no i didnt im going to try calling you again probably tonight if thats okay. the phone tag sucks haha. i havent had time this week to really play. not to mention want to i spend a good 6 hours trying to figure it out this weekend. its stressing me the hell out!
