I took off work a little early today so I could work on the project. I got the frame hacked and the motor/tranny set in. I figured out how I am going to do the mounts and went and bought some steel this afternoon. I am going to get an early start tomorrow-first thing is to pull it back out and box in the frame and fab up the mounts. I know that will be a slow go so my goal for tomorrow is just to get the welding and fabbing done and maybe the motor back down in there for good. Then Friday will be the next time I can work on it.

Hey, congrats, that is badass, can you recap what you are going to do with your setup?
    You're gonna love the results!!!

Take lots of pics and notes, if possible, you'll regret it if you don't.

    good luck,

I have ran into a few obstacles so far. The main thing right now is how are you guys hooking up the shift linkage on the 94 truck to the 4l60e? The arm off my original tranny won't fit on the new trans-it hits that big ole PNP switch. Obviously the arm from the new trans won't hook to the truck-it is for a cable system. Thought I would ask before I go hacking and welding!

My throttle body hits the pressure switch on the A/C drier-had to take off the switch and install it inline when I made up the new low side A/C hose. No biggie. I have all the hoses hooked up 'cept for the heater hoses-waiting to put the inner fender back to do that. Was able to get a lower rad hose from the local parts store on the second try.

The only things left to do are shifter, fuel pump, fuel lines, wiring and air induction.

I am waiting on my LS1 edit cable to come back so I can program the PCM. Should be running next week sometime.

OK, had to cut and reshape the arm off the original trans, cut and shorten the pivot arm, and adjust the rod at the place where it connects to the strg column. No big deal in the scope of an entire conversion, but something I was planning on just hooking right back up.

All I have to do now is the wiring, etc. All the hard heavy work is done. Can't wait to fire it up!

I got all the wiring done 'cept now the fuel pump won't work. No power to the relay. I have several small details to finish but it looks like I might hear it run today and if the local exhaust shop can get me in this afternoon to hook up the pipes, I am driving it to work on Thursday! Allen-I predict it will run 13.5 to 13.8 at about 100. This combo minus t. conv, headers and different gears ran 13.30 in the other truck. This truck is about 300 lbs lighter so we'll just have to see........

Sleeper-yeah, I have a few pics, but no way to post them. I would be happy to send them to ya if you want to look at them. I got it running today and drove it about a mile with open exhaust. Still has a few bugs, no speedo, the throttle is rubbing on the A/C drier and it stuck wide open on my only attempt to get on it! It felt strong but was surging and acting a little funny. I don't have the air intake finished yet and I think the O2s were thrown off with the exhaust being open like that. The exhaust guy is going to pick it up and hook me up while I am at work tomorrow. Should be able to finish it up and be driving by Friday sometime.
