Thread: stall torque conveter

    stall torque conveter

    hey fellas

    i'm swapping a 5.3 into my 97 chevy sub.
    i'm mating the 5.3 to the 97 4l60e trans
    i'm not sure on what type of stall torque converter i should get.

    do i get a ls style torque converter?

    U can use ur converter but you will need a crank spacer. GM has one and so does Hughes. You will need to oval out the bolt holes on the flywheel towards the center.


    4.8, TSP 220, 6L90 swap, 3400 Stall, 4.10s w/30" drag radial and T76 @ 16lbs.

    Im sorry, I should have made my post clearer
    Im looking to install a stall torque converter but im not sure if I use an ls style

    Just call Circle D and tell them what you have and what you want to do. They make great recommendations for whatever you need.
