another TB converter question (new flex plate??)

before I pull the trigger on a tb stall I called a company that sells rebuild converters, I was told by a sales rep that I would need a new flex plate to be able to use a VJCX tb converter in my Silverado because the stock converter was bigger then the 280mm VJCX tb converter. Any truth to this or are they talking out there ass?
just a fast yes or no would be good

I know you already have one by now, but NO they are wrong. The flexplates are the same.

Same flex plate, they will interchange, no problem.
