    TCI 6 speed auto

What does everyone think of this transmission? Would it be worth it over a 6L80e or is it pretty much the same thing? 1st link is a vid, 2nd link is the actual product.

they've been advertising it forever in the popular automotive magazines. Its a redesigned 4L80e. Not sure what all they've done internally to make it 6 speed. If they added more parts internally, that means they had to weaken other parts to get an additional planetary set in there. I've hear gossip that they lock two sets of clutches together to make the additional gearing. Not too sure how all it works but built by a decent builder.

I don't see them selling a whole lot of those now that the 6L80e is out.

the difference is, this is modified and should still use 4l80e upgraded parts vs the lack of aftermarket parts for a 6l80e
