    Dad gum it the only thing we can't hear with a leak down. Did you pull the spring and find play? Which guide, #1 intake or exhaust? Do you still have a crank bolt installed?

    number one exhaust...the plug that had oil on it...that valve seal was trashed and the valve had a little play in it

    It was smoking kinda like my bad-guide 396 did @ idle but the leak down was good. This was the only thing I could think of. I think I might consider an oil cooler...
