ive got one from him before. he did a good job for a mail order tune. I deal with Nelson now.

Yea the only reason I was looking at his because it is cheap and Its a little closer to me. I haven't heard of any good place up here in Michigan. I believe he only charges $160 bucks and you keep your own ecm. Thanks for letting me know.Originally Posted by TurboMic

Why? Is there a big difference between a mail order and a street tune? If he has done enough you would think they are all the same. Its still probally a five hour drive.

believe it or not, every vechicle is different, even with same mods same motor, they all have there own brain!! lol.. a tuner can tune hundreds or thousands of vechicles, from great experience, but once the tuner has that vechicle in hand its a whole new ball game , for one he would know what the truck is doing what its capiable of doing, and whats it showing while doing it... now if you wanna go mail order i would sugguest a mail order from nelson as i have used his dearly and luved it, plus he owns this site and it would be a great to support it...

I agree.If you are not local to a good tuner then a mail order tune is the way to go. If you live fairly close a street tune will be alot better than the mail order,plus the tuner would probly spot any problems with the vehicle if they exist.
