    Thinking about exaust.

I gotta start thinking about exaust for my swap and am looking for suggestions. I want to do a three inch single exit either infront of or behind my passanger tire almost like stock. I want either a DI/SO or SI/SO muffler that is pretty quiet almost to the stock degree but not restrictive. I plan on doing a cutout so when I want it loud it can be. My reasoning behind this is I like loud exaust but I do alot of highway driving and the drone kills me. Right now I have a 18" magnaflow tru-x dumped right before the axle and it rattles the windows. So whats a good muffler to look into? Price should be a factor for sure no more than 150$...

Change the dump location to stock & see how that works.

Had it there first and its still too loud, I make a 120 mile round trip to school and back every day and want something quiet. I am going to have to redo it completely anyways.

So your muffler with tailpipes was louder than the dump? No way. I say route two tailpipes out back with nice looking tips and see how that goes...

No it was quieter but not enough anyway I will probley end up just reusing the old muffler. I would like to have the exit hidden to keep it as clean as possible any ways to do this without ratteling the truck like I am now?

Keep the Magnaflow, split it to duals after the muffler, and exit out the rear with whatever tips you like. Use 2.25 or 2.5 inch pipe. This combo will sound great, and get rid of the droan for you.

I've got another idea for you since you don't like tips. Bring the tailpipes just to the end of your roll pan or bumper, and have them slash cut. They won't stand out, and they'll be sort of tucked in.
